COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Selection of an appropriate ostomy skin barrier formulation is an important concept for the ostomy care nurse/provider to learn more about maintaining peristomal skin health for individuals with ostomies. Using a cooking analogy, the function, evolution, and ingredients in modern day ostomy skin barriers will be discussed.
